Frequently Asked  CPC Questions - Out-of-Jurisdiction Resident 

Q. My resident jurisdiction has CPC requirements. Do I need to obtain an additional 15 PDHs to satisfy North Carolina’s requirements?

A. No, licensees who are residents of jurisdictions other than North Carolina shall meet the requirements of his or her resident jurisdiction.

Q. What if I’m from a jurisdiction with no CPC requirements?

A. If the licensee resides in a jurisdiction that has no CPC requirement, the licensee must meet the requirements of North Carolina.

Q. I am exempt in my resident jurisdiction (due to my age, license status, special circumstances), do I still need to meet NC Board CPC requirements?

A. Yes, the licensee must still meet the requirements of North Carolina.
