Individual Licensure

Applications for licensure are available below at no charge. 

Application kits also maybe obtained directly from the Board for a fee of $5.00.  The application kit includes a primary application form, blank reference forms and return envelopes, copies of the North Carolina Engineering and Surveying Act and an application examination that must be returned with the completed application.  Since the primary application must be typed, applicants may use the form supplied in the application kit or may download and complete this form from the Board's WEB site. Application kits for individual license (except for students) are $5.00 each payable by check or money order to the address below. There is no charge for the Student Application for Certification as an Engineering Intern.

Applications for Professional Engineers

Application for Licensure as Professional Engineer. (Not required for EI's unless initial application was on the student form)

**ATTENTION BUSINESS APPLICANTS**

You must file an application for licensure with the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers & Surveyors and be approved prior to filing any documents with the NC Secratary of State.

Corporations formed after June 6th, 1969 must apply for licensure using the Professional Corporation Application. 

Limited Liability Corporations formed after June 6th, 1969 must apply for licensure using the Professional Limited Liability Application.  

Corporations formed prior to June 6th, 1969 may use the Business Firm Application (check the "Business Corporation" block on the form) or the Professional Corporation Application.  

Limited Liability Corporations formed prior to June 6th, 1969 may use the Business Firm Application (check the "Other" block on the form) or the Professional Limited Liability Corporation Application.
