The Mapping Sciences Examination is a 6 hour examination containing 100 questions based on the examination specification (blueprint). Successfully passing the NCEES Fundamentals of Surveying exam is a prerequisite before an applicant can be seated for the Mapping Sciences examination. This Principles and Practice Exam is 6 hours in length. The applicant must also take a 2 hour examination used to test the examinee on state specific laws, rules and regulations specific to North Carolina.
